Challenge
Drivers in Level 4 and 5 autonomous vehicles face the "out-of-the-loop" performance problem: the difficulty of re-engaging with driving tasks after a long period of inactivity.
When a takeover is required due to extreme conditions, traditional interfaces do not provide enough pre-emptive information or cognitive support. This lack of intuitive guidance leads to high-stress transitions and potential safety failures during the critical moments of re-engagement.

Design Goal
The goal is to bridge the gap between autonomous operation and human control, ensuring that when the system encounters scenarios beyond its capabilities, the driver is cognitively supported and ready to collaborate seamlessly with the machine.
Outcome
Stratos focuses on an AI-assisted vehicle interface designed for future cockpit environments. By utilizing spatial UI and multi-modal alerts, the system aims to create a visually compelling transition platform.
